Dubbing Scripts
I translate Japanese dialogue into English dubbing scripts, ready for voice actors, dubbing directors and adaptation teams.
Every script identifies each speaker and captures every utterance, from full lines of dialogue to breaths, laughs, sighs and background chatter, so nothing is lost between the original recording and the dub. Delivery cues show how each line is spoken as well as what is said, giving performers the context they need to recreate the tone and timing of the original performance.
My scripts also work as pivot templates for other languages. Annotations explain wordplay, cultural references, honorifics and any line where the English departs from the literal Japanese, so linguists translating from my English understand the intent behind each choice.
You’ll receive a timecoded script with speaker names, delivery cues and annotations, in the format your team works with.
